My name is Sydney Marlow and I am a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) registered in British Columbia, Canada. I recently noticed a gap in media related to accessible tax and financial literacy, which is amplified by the number of questions I get asked when I share that I am an accountant. Some common ones include: “Can you do my taxes?” “What expenses can I claim for my business?” “What is a TFSA?”

Therefore, I started this blog as a way to share my knowledge and educate people, specifically young adults, on the basics of all things tax, finance, and money. I approach these topics with 5+ years of experience in public accounting, and hours of individual research interpreting government publications into more digestible content.

This is a passion project for me, and is by no means a replacement for tax and finance professional advice. Each individual circumstance is different, so please take what you can but leave the rest.
